What's this? I'm still alive? And making an actual post? Yeah, it's been a while. School is, as they say, kicking my ass. I'm in a momentary lull between several soul-crushing projects, so I'm taking the opportunity to post some of the stuff I've been making sporadically over the last few months. Hola, it is me! This and the next post or so should be fairly random, as I'm in a bunch of different LIMS & icontests and need to burn off the entries, but of course that's nothing new for me. And in an effort to broaden my iconing canon (though I can hardly call it that), I present my first ever icons for The Wire, which is an amazing show and you should totally go watch it now (unless you have a low tolerance for excessive violence, language and bureaucracy).

I've been a bit lax with the updating lately...getting a second part-time job while taking classes will do that to one's energy levels/time to do stuff. I just haven't been too creative lately. Someone finally capped higher quality stills of the Hairspray trailer (!), so there are a few here from that (click the "hairspray" tag to see the other set), but I think I'll wait 'til it comes out on DVD to make my own caps and really go crazy, maybe even do a mood theme.

About half the Ugly Betty stuff is from the weird/awesome/creepy new promo pics, but they're not particularly spoilery (unless you'd be shocked to see Henry wearing argyle again *gasp*). Feel free to resize the banners or add text or whatever.

Been a while. I've found it more difficult lately to sit in front of the computer for more than an hour at a time (well, that and my computer's gone a bit nutso, freezing all over the place). I've only been doing bits and pieces here and there, predominantly contest entries to keep me from getting too apathetic. But hopefully I'll be iconing more often from now on. Anyway, hope everyone's having a good summer! I'm off to go freak out about the impending Harry Potter book (with more dread than excitement, though).

Another icon post? So soon? Well, I had a lot of these kicking around for a week or so, so it's kind of a culmination of the random procrastination I've been indulging in this past week. Couple quick notes: the third Babmi icon (#23) won third place in text icons at d_ladicontest, so yay! A couple of the Dr. Who ones are really blurry and not great pictures, but I couldn't help making ones of him in his dorky glasses, translating languages....And the Dreamgirls ones are only from the first half of the movie, so there will probably be more later.
